There are two main mistakes in popular research on pandemics
First, what is called as the Post Hoc Fallacy, for example, is to conclude that everyone who dies AFTER being positively infected by a virus is dead BECAUSE of the virus. This mistake is mostly made by researchers working in mass media and social media. Where, this error greatly affects the mental weakness of the community, which has the potential to cause psychosomatic illness.
Second, is to conclude that everything is correlational as something that is causally related. An example is concluding that someone died of comorbidity. This conclusion causes fear for sufferers of serious illness about the pandemic, which then has the potential to cause the pain to recur, even though this pandemic should be faced with a positive attitude.
